How to write a letter to the editor:

The RFD News group, Inc. welcome the opinions of our readers on public issues of general interest to the community.

Guidelines for publication:

• 300 words or less.
• Signed by the writer and include a legibly printed version of your name.
• To verify authenticity, include a daytime phone number and address where we contact you. Only your name and city will be published with your letter.
• We reserve the right to edit all letters for libel, good taste and clarity.
• Preferences will be given to letters writers who resident in our general delivery area or who have direct links to family or community.
• We will publish letters that represent original ideas of the letter writer - we will not publish form letters or blanket e-mail.
• Letters which are blanket endorsements of any political candidate over another will not be published.
